Well what a difference a night makes, it's raining here in Broome, everything is wet we have to check the road conditions to Middle Lagoon as there is 100 km of dirt road. The radar shows no rain up that way but its getting to it that could be the problem, stay tuned.

Broome last day
Monday - Well our time in Broome is up as we move onto Middle Lagoon tomorrow. We where able to get onto the northern section of Cable Beach today, we drove about 10km north and went for a swim, at low tide the sand is pretty firm as there was no need to lower the tyre pressure. Restocked with food and fuel so it's off in the morning. Noting that we won't have access to Optus this will be the last post until we get back to Derby on the 9th.

Harley ride
No not on a motor bike, on a camel named Harley. Unfortunately the sky was full of cloud so we didn't get a sunset ride but it was great anyway. After an hour on the back of a camel you certainly know you have been for a ride. Harley was 18 so only young as they can live to their 50.
Broome
Sunday - Visited the lighthouse at Gantheaume Point and Anastasia's pool which was carved out of the rock by a previous lighthouse keeper, also drove along the northern part of Cable Beach, the southern end is closed as the access is closed due to a concert tonight by Icehouse. There are alsodinosaur foot prints in the sandstone which you can only see on a really low tide, they have made some casts and set them in concrete at the top of the track.
Broome
Saturday - tourists again today, visited the markets, same as anywhere. Then drove around town catching up on the pioneer elements of Broome finishing at Matso's Brewery for lunch, tasted all they had to offer which was different. We went to the Sun outdoor picture theatre and saw "The Great Gatsby" last night, very different people turning up with pillows and blankets, Chris said it was going to the Drive-In without a car. The seating was layback 1920 beach chairs, now I know why the locals took pillows. Camel ride tomorrow.
