Chamberlain Gorge Boat tour -ELQ

Thursday afternoon - this afternoon we went on a boat tour of Chamberlain Gorge, the trip took about 2 hours with commentary on the gorge and also the history of El Questro, the trip ends about 2 km down the gorge because of the lack of water, in peak flood in the wet season it can get to 20 meters above what it is now as it did in 2011. Champagne and fruit was served along the way, the boat captain also gave us a demo on how to start a fire by rubbing sticks together, the kids loved it. It is a small country as we met a couple who used to live 3 doors up from  Cindy and Chris at Middle Boambee, they knew Buster very well as he would visit when he got out, by coincidence they have bought a block of land in the same estate where Cindy and Chris have just bought.

The day finished off with a dusty drive back to camp.
