Bungles Northern walk

It is 30km from the Walardi campground to Echidna Chasm that we decided to walk today, when you get to the car park you follow the riverbed most of the way up so it is a bit hard on the legs walking on river stones. The walk in transforms into a tropical landscape with palms growing everywhere, the chasm gets narrower the further you go finally opening into a larger chasm, you think that's the end but you then follow a narrowing path to the actual chasm which is at a dead end. When we arrived it was in shade but as the sun rose to its peak at about noon the chasm filled with light and its colours changed, our timing was spot on.

 We finished the day by watching the sun set on the Bungles and our stay their as we move on tomorrow.
